Top college student scholarships to help you pay for school

The $2,000 PixelPlex Bi-Annual STEM Scholarship was established to help support and inspire students to pursue further education in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), as well as economics and business. One student will be chosen from the applicant pool based on the strength of their written essay. At the date of the award, applicants must be enrolled or accepted with plans to attend a college or university in the United States. Applicants must provide their full name (and parent/guardian name if they're under 18); their date of birth; their college or university; their average GPA; their expected year of graduation; their field of study; their phone number and email address; and proof of attendance or acceptance from a college or university. For their essay, applicants must choose an industry or sector where the application of one of the following technologies might be uncommon, in their opinion, and describe which existing problems will be solved as a result: Blockchain (DeFi, DApps, CBDC, NFT), Metaverses, Tokenization, and Big Data and Machine Learning. The Youth in Foster Care Scholarship Fund will make awards to young adults who are aging-out of foster care and want to develop marketable skills or those who want to continue their education at a post-secondary school. Applicants may be high school graduating seniors, recent graduates, those with a GED certificate, or an undergraduate in college. Students may attend a nonprofit or public educational institute in New Mexico or out-of-state and may attend school full-time or part-time. Applicants must be a New Mexico resident for a minimum of one year and have been in the New Mexico foster care system for a minimum of one year. The application must be accompanied by a recommendation from a former or current foster parent, teacher, coach, counselor, caseworker, employer or other adult who can help the committee understand why this scholarship is important to the applicant and their future. Students may apply each year they are enrolled in a program, even if they received an award in the past. Students may only receive one scholarship each calendar year. The Texas Medical Excellence Scholarship was created by Fort Worth female plastic surgeon Dr. Emily J. Kirby to support, empower, and encourage students in Texas pursuing education in the medical field. The scholarship award is to be used toward tuition and educational expenses. Applicants must be an undergraduate or postgraduate medical student pursuing a degree/career path in a medicine-related field at an institution of higher learning in any location or online. Eligible degrees include: Doctorate (MD, DO, DPM, DMD, DPM, OD, PsyD, PharmD, DCM, DS, DPT, DSN, DNP), Nursing (RN, NP, CNM, CRNA), Master's (MPH, MM, MMS, MN, MNA, MPharm, MPAS, MSN, MSM), and Physician's Assistant (PA, PA-C). Applicants should demonstrate a continued interest in a career in the public transportation industry, high academic achievement, and need for financial assistance. Applicants must be college students or those seeking advanced degrees. All returning applicants must be sponsored by an APTA member organization or APTA member assignee. First time applicants are not required to obtain a sponsor. The selection criteria includes demonstrated interest in the public transportation industry as a career, academic achievement, essay content and quality, need for financial assistance, and involvement in extracurricular citizenship and leadership activities. Two letters of recommendation are required from new applicants, returning applicants are required to submit one letter only. The Al and Willamary Viste Scholarship will be awarded to students who must be either an upperclassman or a graduate student and enrolled in Medicine or a Science Degree Program. Preference will be given, but is not limited, to students obtaining a degree in one of the physical sciences, medical or scientific research fields. The applicant's parents, grandparents, husband or wife must be (or if deceased, was) a regular or life member (not an associate member) of the 101st Airborne Division Association. The major factors to be considered in the evaluation and rating of applicants are eligibility, career objectives, academic record, and insight gained from the letter requesting consideration and letters of recommendation. Applicants shall not be attending nor accepted as a student to the United States Military Academy, the Naval Academy or the Air Force Academy. Applicants may apply and receive an award each year for a maximum of four years for an undergraduate degree and two years for a graduate degree. Al and Willamary Viste Scholarship applicants must submit all of their post secondary education transcripts.
