Sallie does more for students
We’ve been around as Sallie Mae®, helping millions of students plan and pay for school. We still offer Sallie Mae student loans and savings accounts but we’re listening, learning, and growing. As Sallie, we do more—more products, resources, and guidance you won’t find anywhere else.

Sallie Mae financial products are now part of our larger company name, Sallie. Students can still count on Sallie Mae undergraduate student loans, graduate loans, and career training loans to help pay for school. And families can keep hitting their big and small savings goals with Sallie Mae high-yield savings accounts, money market accounts, or certificates of deposit.

FAQs
What is Sallie? Is it different from Sallie Mae?
Sallie is our new name and identity, showing how we’re growing to better support students and families. Higher education is a big journey, and we’re here for every step. Sallie Mae student loans and savings products are still part of what we offer—they just live under the bigger Sallie brand now. We’re also going beyond financing by creating more tools, resources, and guidance to help you plan, pay, and thrive after graduation.
What products and services does Sallie offer?
Sallie offers a growing set of resources to help students and families through every step of the higher education journey. That includes free tools to search for scholarships, compare colleges, and make sense of financial aid—plus Sallie Mae private student loans and savings products. We also share tips and real student stories on big milestones—like making the most of school, managing money, landing internships, planning your career, and more. Wherever you are on your path, Sallie’s here to help.
Why the change from Sallie Mae to Sallie?
Students and families face new challenges and changing needs—and we’re growing to meet them. Our shift to Sallie reflects an expanded role as your go-to for higher education: supporting students beyond financing with resources and guidance for every step of the journey.
How is Sallie different?
Higher education is what we do—and what we’ve always done. Sallie is built on decades of experience, insights, and research from working directly with thousands of students and families. Our roots are in helping students reach their goals, and that shapes everything we do today. As your go-to for higher education, we’re putting that knowledge to work across the entire journey. We're all-in—combining trusted financial products with planning tools, tips, and full-journey support. Every solution we offer is backed by years of experience and designed to help students succeed.
