Becky Burrows Memorial Scholarship, with an application deadline in March, offers numerous awards of $1000 each. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

The Becky Burrows Memorial Scholarship provides aid to students who are reentering the job market, beginning "second careers," or seeking to improve their professional skills for their current occupation by continuing their education in that field. Students must pursue a career working with youth and young adults in leadership and development, helping people and encouraging brain safety and health, or caring for families during times of need. This scholarship is awarded based on community service, financial need, academic success, and application contents. Scholarships are awarded for one academic year. Two letters of recommendation dated within 12 months from teachers, professors, faculty advisors or employers must be submitted. A list of extracurricular and/or community activities, if not on the resume or CV, must also be submitted. Please visit the scholarship's website for more information.
