Description

The Bill Clapper Memorial Music Scholarship was established in August 2000 with a major gift from Mary J. Clapper and additional gifts made by friends and associates after the death of her husband, Bill Clapper, who had been a music teacher in the Monterey schools. Applicants should be a student furthering their education in music at the college level; be a graduating senior from Monterey High School; be a member of the HS Band, Jazz Band, or Orchestra for at least two years, including their senior year; be exceptionally talented on woodwind, brass, string, or percussion instrument; and be recommended by the MHS School Band Director.
