Description

The Bobbie Flaherty Service to NACADA Award recognizes a member for outstanding service to the organization. The nominee or applicant must have a history of involvement and membership in the association. Previous winners are not eligible. Individuals may not be nominated in the same award cycle for more than one of the big five awards. Individuals may nominate themselves. Applicants or nominees must submit a Nomination or Application Letter. This letter should provide evidence that the candidate has made significant contributions to NACADA, the profession of academic advising, leadership in the field of advising as well as related professional areas, and a commitment to the importance of academic advising at a regional, national, or global level. Please provide comprehensive materials that will allow an evaluator, regardless of their familiarity with the nominee's role, background, or program, to fully understand and appreciate the nominee's work and accomplishments. Up to three Letters of Support and/or Recommendation are also required. These letters may come from an institution's officials, colleagues, employees, supervisors, or students; anyone who might enhance the selection committee's understanding of the nominee.
