Description

The BorgWarner Morse TEC Scholarship for Community Service Volunteers is open to matriculated continuing sophomore, junior, or senior-level students in good academic standing at SUNY Cortland. Students must have at least one full academic year remaining at the start of the fall semester of the award year. Preference is given to family members of BorgWarner Morse TEC employees living in central and southern NY including Binghamton, Cortland, Elmira, Ithaca, Penn Yan, Syracuse, Watkins Glen, and Waverly. Preference is also given to students who have volunteered at local community service organizations like but not limited to Cortland YWCA, YMCA Franziska Rackers Center, or organizations serving youth or senior age groups that have a nonreligious social impact. Applicants must submit three letters of recommendation from individuals who are familiar with the candidate's volunteer service. Please visit the scholarship's website for more information.
