Building Future Leaders Scholarship Program For Veterans or Service Members, with an application deadline in October, offers numerous awards that vary in amount. Military service requirements apply.Description
The Building Future Leaders Scholarship Program For Veterans or Service Members will be awarded to students who must be currently enrolled or accepted at a nationally or regionally accredited college, university, or technical/vocational school and on a successful graduation track toward a vocational/technical, associate's, bachelor's, or graduate degree. Applicants must be veterans with an honorable discharge or currently serving with the Navy, Army, Marine Corps, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard, National Guard or Reserve Component. They must have graduated from an accredited U.S. High School or High School Equivalency/General Education Diploma Program. Applicants must receive less than 100 percent VA Benefits toward higher education. They must attach documentation showing academic achievement through military or civilian education, participation in community service, honors, letters of appreciation, and recommendations. Special consideration will be given to applicants who demonstrate leadership or mentoring qualities through participation in their communities' extracurricular or civic activities.
