Description

The Central Pacific Bank Foundation Scholarship Fund was created in 2010 by an anonymous donor to benefit Central Pacific Bank (CPB) employees and their dependents. The donor requires applicants to attend an accredited, two- or four-year, not-for-profit institution within the U.S. (including U.S. territories). The donor also requires applicants to be an active status employee, a dependent child of an active status employee or a grandchild of an active status employee of Central Pacific Bank and/or it's subsidiary or affiliated company with a minimum of one year of service as of the application date and at the time of the award notification. Dependent child refers to biological, step, foster, legal ward or adopted child under the age of 26. The employee must continue to be an active status employee at the time of the award letter. Preference is for previous year's recipients, who may be eligible for up to 4 years of awarding pursuant to submitting an application annually, and who continue to be an active status employee-dependent. For new awardees, preference will be given to high school seniors, undergraduate freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors in that order or priority. Preference will also be given to students with demonstrated financial need. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Hawai'i Community Foundation for more information.
