Certificate Program AWF Legacy Scholarships, with an application deadline in January, offers numerous awards that vary in amount. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

The Certificate Program AWF Legacy Scholarships are available to those who must be a high school graduate with a 2.5 GPA or GED and must be currently enrolled in or accepted into an accredited certificate granting institution. Applicants must be a woman who has served or is serving honorably in the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Reserve or Army National Guard or the lineal descendant of a woman who has served or is serving honorably in the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Reserve or Army National Guard. If there is any evidence that the applicant or the applicant's ancestor did not serve honorably, the application will not be considered. Eligibility requirements are non-negotiable, and appropriate evidence of Army service must be provided such as DD214, discharge papers, letter from commander, etc. Applicants must also submit two letters of recommendation. One letter of recommendation must be from a school advisor, counselor, dean of students, professor, etc. Letters of recommendation must demonstrate why a Legacy Scholarship should be awarded to the specific student. Letters of recommendation must be dated within the last 6 months of application submission.
