Charles W. & Annette Hill Scholarship, with an application deadline in February, offers numerous awards of $1000 each. Military service requirements apply. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

The Charles W. & Annette Hill Scholarship will be awarded to financially assist in the education of needy and worthy children of American Legion Members of the Department of Kansas. Consideration should be given to those applicants desiring to engage in the Fields of Science, Engineering, or Business Administration. The applicant must be a descendent of a member of the American Legion. Applicants must be a Kansas high school senior or college level freshman or sophomore, and the descendent of a veteran who has been a member of The Kansas American Legion for the past three years. The descendents of deceased members in either organization are also eligible if the veteran's dues were paid-up at time of death. The applicant's major field of study will be a factor in the final selection. Applicants must indicate their major field of study. Applicants must submit three letters of recommendation, one must be from a teacher. The latest 1040 income statement of supporting parent(s) is also required.
