Description

The Charlotte McGuire Scholarship Program was established in 1986 through a gracious gift to the American Holistic Nurses Association. Since 1987, the program has offered academic scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students in need of assistance to help them through their Holistic Nursing growth and education. The undergraduate scholarship aims to recognize and celebrate nurses in an undergraduate academic setting dedicated to a practice of Holistic Nursing. Undergraduate applicants must have current R.N. Licensure; be a current active member of AHNA for a minimum of six months; have the ability to incorporate self-care into personal and professional life; and have a demonstrated commitment to holistic nursing practice and its philosophical base. The graduate scholarship aims to recognize and celebrate nurses in a graduate academic setting dedicated to a practice of Holistic Nursing. Graduate student applicants must have current R.N. Licensure; be a current active member of AHNA for a minimum of one year; have the ability to incorporate self-care into personal and professional life; have a demonstrated commitment to holistic nursing practice and its philosophical base; and have proven commitment to advancing Holistic Nursing using leadership skills. An academic reference letter and AHNA member reference letter must be submitted. Graduate applicants must also submit evidence of Holistic practice and leadership. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the American Holistic Nurses' Association for more information.
