Description

Clyde Eppard was an Electrical Engineering graduate of Iowa State University in the Class of 1928, and spent his entire career in the electrical utility industry with Union Electric Power retiring as Vice-President of Operations and Assistant to the CEO in 1969. He was an "Engineer's Engineer" possessing hands-on skills, theoretical skills and an abundance of common sense. Georgia Engineering Foundation is pleased to offer scholarships to freshmen, upperclassmen, and graduate students who are attending eligible engineering, engineering technology, and construction management programs. Eligible programs include current ABET-accredited undergraduate and graduate engineering/engineering technology programs and ACCE-accredited construction management programs. Only high school seniors who have been accepted to an ABET accredited program in the fall are eligible to apply. Incoming freshmen are required to provide three letters of reference. Letters of reference are best provided by non-family members who have an extended relationship with the applicant. Applicants must provide their names and email addresses. Top ranked applicants will be contacted and scheduled for interviews. Upper classmen and graduate students are required to bring an official copy of their most current transcript to the interview. If the applicant is not able to attend an on-campus interview, telephone interviews may be scheduled and conducted.
