Description

The Craig D. Newnan Memorial Scholarship was set up by C. Jean Shewey in honor of her late son Craig D. Newnan, the founder of Expeditions, the only passenger ferry running between Lahaina, Maui, and Manele Harbor, Lana'i. The donor requires applicants to be a Lana'i High School graduate. Preference will be given to students in the fields of Education, Travel Industry Management, or studies related to the Maritime Industry. Preference will also be given to those intending to return to Lana'i to live and work. Preference is for recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is in good academic standing.
