Description

The Bailey-Shipp Safety Scholarship honors the legacy and vision of two champions of safety by supporting the next generation of leaders in the occupational safety and health industry. Awarded annually through the ISEA Foundation, this scholarship recognizes outstanding students who are pursuing careers that advance innovation, protection, and safety for workers across the country. Applicants must be enrolled at an accredited college or university in the United States. They must be pursuing a degree that prepares them for a career in the safety industry. Relevant fields of study may include, but are not limited to: Occupational Safety and Health; Environmental Health and Safety (EHS); Industrial Hygiene; Safety Engineering; Product Design and Engineering (with a safety focus); Ergonomics and Human Factors; Supply Chain or Manufacturing Systems (with PPE or safety applications); or Construction or Industrial Management (with a safety emphasis). Applicants must demonstrate strong academic performance; leadership potential and engagement in extracurricular, volunteer, or professional activities related to safety, health, or STEM fields; and a commitment to improving workplace safety through innovation, advocacy, or design.
