DEWALT Trades Scholarship, with an application deadline in January, offers 40 awards of $5000 each. Restricted to those with financial need.Description
Stanley Black & Decker has established the DEWALT Trades Scholarship to assist individuals attending a two-year college or vocational-technical school who are pursuing a trade degree or certificate in an industry aligned with the Stanley Black & Decker Trade Goals: including but are not limited to construction, industrial, motor or power sector, mechanics, and technology. Applicants must be high school seniors or graduates, or current post-secondary undergraduate students. Individuals pursuing degrees or certificates in service industries such as culinary arts, cosmetology, or hospitality are ineligible. Employees of and dependent children of Stanley Black & Decker employees and its affiliates are ineligible. Only the first 1000 applications submitted will be considered for scholarship evaluation. Provided there are qualified applicants, preference will be given to those that self-identify as American Indian or Alaska Native, Indigenous Peoples, First Nations, Inuit and Metis, Asian, Black or African American, Hispanic or Latino, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander, and/or be an individual with a disability, and/or self-identify as LGBTQIA+. United States citizens must submit a copy of the first two pages of their most recently filed IRS Form 1040 and Canadian citizens must submit a copy of their most recently filed Canadian Tax Document.
