Diane Lapp & James Flood Professional Collaborator Award, with an application deadline in February, offers 3 awards that vary in amount.Description
The Diane Lapp & James Flood Professional Collaborator Award recognizes an ongoing professional collaboration between two or three scholars who regularly contribute to the professional knowledge base of literacy educators. Collaborator teams of two to three people are eligible to be nominated or self-nominated. Collaborators must be colleagues commonly associated as a professional team. Collaborators must have worked on multiple projects and put forth several contributions of an enduring and positive impact to the evolving field of literacy education over a period of at least five years. The work must be in literacy research and practice in the form of a series of publications or a substantial field-based project(s) that focuses on new literacies, literacy collaborations, or literacy engagement. To be eligible, candidates must be ILA members in good standing and maintain active membership through June 30, 2026. Please note that candidates will be evaluated on work that has been completed prior to the date of application; research or projects planned for future implementation will not be considered. Nominations must be submitted through an online application process. Supporting documentation is required in the body of the form, as a PDF attachment, or by linking to relevant material (such as a CV) provided that the source is reputable and up to date. Candidates may self-nominate or be nominated by a colleague. Please note that candidates who have been nominated by a colleague are no longer required to complete a separate application.
