District 6 Scholarship Fund Volusia County, with an application deadline in June, offers 6 awards that vary in amount. Location restrictions exist.

Description

The District 6 Scholarship Fund Volusia County has six scholarships available each year: two named scholarships for Volusia County residents and four generic scholarships available statewide. To qualify for an FNF scholarship, applicants must be enrolled in an associate, baccalaureate, master's degree nursing program, or doctoral program. Nurses enrolled in doctoral programs are not restricted to nursing specialties. Applicants must have completed at least one semester in the current nursing program by the scholarship application deadline. Applicants must be enrolled in a nationally accredited nursing program, either through ACeN or CCNe accreditation. Applicants must have resided in Florida for at least one year and must reside in Florida throughout the term of the scholarship. Undergraduate students must have a 2.5 GPA; graduate students must have a 3.0 GPA. Two letters of reference are required. It must be from individuals who can address the applicant's academic aptitude, scholarship, seriousness of purpose, and/or their clinical expertise. The transcript must be mailed directly from the applicant's school or in an envelope signed and sealed by a school official. It is not included in the online application. Applicants must submit a validation of their Florida residency. They must upload a copy of their current driver's license or voter registration card. If issued within the past year, applicants must provide other proof of residency. Contact FNA for additional acceptable proofs of residency.
