Dr. Frederick H. Todd Graduate Scholarship, with an application deadline in February, offers one award in the amount of $21000.

Description

The Dr. Frederick H. Todd Graduate Scholarship is open to applicants worldwide who are members in good standing of SNAME looking to pursue advanced studies in approved universities. Awards are made for one year of study leading to a Master's Degree in naval architecture, marine engineering, ocean engineering, or other fields directly related to the maritime industry. Applicants must not receive their Master's Degree prior to September 1 of the academic year for which the scholarship applies. Three letters of reference must be submitted. One letter must be from a Faculty Member of the applicant's university, who has had the applicant as a student in their course. Also, that letter or one of the other two letters of recommendation must be from a current SNAME member. Although applicants are not required to provide GRE scores, they will be at a disadvantage if they do not do so, regardless of graduate school admission requirements. GRE scores count as much as 15 percent of the application ranking for award consideration. Applications must be received prior to February 1 with all supporting documentation by February 15. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Society of Naval Architects & Marine Engineers for more information.
