Description

The Edward Yoshiharu Sakuma & Kay Kubo Sakuma Student Teaching Merit Scholarship was established in 2018 to assist students with educational expenses related to costs of attendance during their student teaching semester at the University of Hawaii-Manoa, College of Education. Applicants must be a second-year graduate student or higher. They must be a graduate of a public high school or equivalent in the State of Hawai'i. Applicants must also be committed to teaching in the State of Hawai'i public school system; have demonstrated volunteer and extracurricular activities with leadership roles; and have excellent character and leadership skills.
