Description

The Elaine Chapin Memorial Scholarship will provide funds to support the postsecondary education of a student impacted by multiple sclerosis, either directly or as a family member. Recipients will be chosen on the basis of financial need, academic standing, and the impact with which multiple sclerosis has affected their lives. Applicants must plan to enroll or are enrolled at an accredited two or four year college, university, vocational or technical school located in the United States. Applicants must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester in course work leading to a degree, license, or certificate. Applicants must reside within a 300 mile radius of Elaine Chapin Fund's St. Louis office and proof of residency will be required if the student is chosen as a scholarship recipient. There is no application fee to apply for this scholarship; however a gesture of a small donation with the application is certainly appreciated. To cover the cost of printing and organizing emailed applications, applicants must make a $10 donation in order to be considered. Two letters of reference must be submitted. Please visit the scholarship's website for more information.
