Eligibility
Elks Emergency Educational Grants, with an application deadline in December, offers numerous awards of $5000 each. Restricted to those with financial need.Description
The Emergency Educational Grants provide undergraduate college financial assistance to children of deceased or totally disabled Elks in the form of renewable, one-year grants. The grant is for educational assistance only and is not intended to cover the entire cost of a college education. As long as a student meets all other eligibility requirements, a student can apply for up to four years in total during their undergraduate education. The Elk parent or stepparent must have been a member in good standing for at least one year at the time of his or her death; or must have been a member in good standing for at least one year before he or she became totally disabled and must continue to be an Elk in good standing when application for assistance is made. The applicant must attend an accredited U.S. college or university, be unmarried, and under the age of 24 during the academic year in which they are applying. The application is available upon request starting May 1, 2024. To request an EEG application for you or someone you know, please email or call the Elks National Foundation.
