ESA Distinguished Service Award to the Certification Program, with an application deadline in June, offers numerous awards of $500 each.

Description

The purpose of the Distinguished Service Award to the Certification Program is to encourage, recognize, and reward outstanding contributions to the ESA Certification Program and the professionalism of entomology. Nominees are required to be Board or Associate Certified Entomologists. Applicants must submit a Letter of Nomination including the name of nominee; current position or title of nominee; brief explanation of how the nominee excelled in contributions to professionalism, science, and the community. If available, information on professional activities, certification activities, and other information (awards, honors, achievements, mentoring, publications, professional memberships, etc.) may also be included. Information on Professional activities (consulting, research, public service, teaching or training); Certification activities (BCE status, leadership roles, committee activities, other); and Other information (awards, honors, achievements, mentoring, publications, professional memberships, etc.) must be submitted. Any candidate nominated, but not selected, may be renominated no more than two times within the two-year period after their initial submission.
