Description

The Esther Kanagawa Memorial Art Scholarship Fund was established in 2000 by Donald Kanagawa to benefit students pursuing studies in the field of fine arts (drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics or photography). Preference is given to incoming freshmen and students who have participated in local and national art competitions or other outstanding accomplishments in the field of art. Applicants must be a high school senior entering as a freshman who intends to major in Fine Arts (drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, or photography). Preference will be given in the following order of priority: students who have participated in local and national art competitions, or students with other outstanding accomplishments in the field of art; entering freshmen; and recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year.
