Esther Kanagawa Memorial Art Scholarship Fund, with an application deadline in February, offers numerous awards that vary in amount. Location restrictions exist. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

The Esther Kanagawa Memorial Art Scholarship Fund was established in 2000 by Donald Kanagawa to benefit Hawaii residents pursuing studies in the field of fine arts (drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics or photography). Preference is given to incoming freshmen and students who have participated in local and national art competitions or other outstanding accomplishments in the field of art. Applicants must be a high school senior entering as a freshman. Preference will be given in the following order of priority: students who have participated in local and national art competitions, or students with other outstanding accomplishments in the field of art; entering freshman; and/or recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is in good academic standing.
