Sponsored by Publix Super Markets Charities, Inc., the Conference Scholarship for Chiefs and Second in Command Program was established by the Board of Trustees of the Florida Police Chiefs Education & Research Foundation recognizing the budgetary and funding issues that many small agencies face. The purpose of this program is to provide an opportunity for Chiefs or Second in Command Personnel of small agencies (1-25 sworn) to attend an FPCA Training Conference. This conference provides excellent training for law enforcement officials. Scholarships are offered to police chiefs or second in command personnel who have not yet been able to attend an FPCA conference or whose cities are not able to pay to send them. Additionally, chiefs or second in command personnel that have not been able to attend for the past five years due to agency budget cutbacks or other funding issues will be eligible.
