Description

The Fulbright Multiple Disciplines Scholar Award in Albania will be awarded to give scholars a chance to teach courses at the undergraduate or graduate level or both in the area of specialization and conduct research in the area of specialization. The areas of interest for this award are Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence (AI), Defense and Law Enforcement, and Foreign Investment and Economic Development. Pending specific program needs, the Scholars may also be asked to assist with curriculum revision or new course development. Albanian universities could utilize Scholars' expertise in organizing international conferences and/or special programs. Applicants must be those with an M.A. or other professional degree and at least five years of substantial experience in their fields. Administrative and academic experience is highly desirable. Applicants may propose an appropriate host. They may be the University of Tirana; University of Medicine, Tirana; Agricultural University of Tirana; University of Arts, Tirana; Polytechnic University of Tirana; Eqrem Cabej University of Gjirokastra; Luigj Gurakuqi University, Shkodra; Aleksander Xhuvani University, Elbasan; Fan. S. Noli University, Korce; Ismail Qemali University, Vlore; or the Aleksander Moisiu University, Durres. An invitation letter is optional. The Public Affairs staff at the US Embassy will be happy to help establish contacts between interested applicants and potential host faculty members and/or leaders or provide information. There are no language proficiency requirements, English is sufficient. However, feasibility of conducting the project must be demonstrated in the project statement. Albanian language proficiency sufficient to complete the research project is required. English is sufficient for teaching. All applicants must submit two recommendation letters. Letters should be from those who know the applicant and the applicant's work well.
