George & Lynna Gene Cook Scholarship, with an application deadline in March, offers one award in the amount of $1500. Location restrictions exist. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

The George and Lynna Gene Cook Scholarship was established in 1999 by the Cooks. George and Lynna Gene have been active in the field of education for most of their lives and realize the importance of helping young people. They hope that their love of students and education will benefit young people for generations to come. Applicants must be a current graduating senior or a former graduate of any high school in Nebraska or have successfully completed the GED. Former recipients of the George and Lynna Gene Cook Scholarship may apply. Applicants must be pursuing a degree in ministry or education at any qualified college or university in the United States. Preference will be given to applicants who are members of First Church of God congregations that are affiliated with the Anderson, Indiana church body. Applicants must submit one reference e-mail address of their current pastor or other current congregational leader. References will be notified to fill out an online form.
