Description

The GP Memorial Lyons Athlete Scholarship, funded by the Braly Family Foundation, awards $5,000 in memory of Henry Braly-affectionately known as "GP"-to honor his legacy and the close bond he shared with his grandchildren, who graduated from Lyons Middle/High School. This one-time scholarship supports graduating seniors from Lyons Middle/High School who are student-athletes with an unweighted GPA no higher than 3.8. Funds may be used for tuition, fees, required books and supplies, room and board, and other direct educational expenses at an accredited trade school, two-year, or four-year college or university, with disbursements split between semesters. Applicants must submit a high school transcript with fall grades, resume, short answer responses, a recommendation letter, and a 2-3 minute video.
