Description

The purpose of the Hausdorf Family Scholarship is to provide higher education funding to study music for one graduating student from a Monterey County public high school. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years. Applicants should plan on furthering their education in music this fall at the college level, with the intent to pursue a degree in the field of music; have been a member of a high school or community band, orchestra or chorale; show exceptional talent in a musical instrument, singing, or music composition; have a recommendation from a high school band director or similar individual (e.g. director of a community youth orchestra); have achieved at least a 2.8 GPA over all four years of high school; and demonstrate good character.
