Description

The purpose of the Hausdorf Family Scholarship is to provide higher education funding to study music for one graduating student from a Monterey County public high school. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years. Applicants should have plans on furthering their education in music this fall at the college level, with the intent to pursue a degree in the field of music. They must have been a member of a high school or community band, orchestra or chorale; show exceptional talent in a musical instrument, singing, or music composition; and have a recommendation from a high school band director or similar individual (e.g. director of a community youth orchestra). Applicants must have achieved the required GPA for all four years of high school. They must also demonstrate good character.
