Description

The HCF Empowerment Scholarship Fund was established in 2015 to support medical students at UH Manoa JABSOM. The donor requires applicants to be a graduate of the 'Imi Ho'ola Post-Baccalaureate Program of the University of Hawai'i, John A. Burns School of Medicine. Applicants must be pursuing a Doctor of Medicine Degree (MD) at the University of Hawai'i, John A. Burns School of Medicine. Applicants must submit one letter of recommendation from a professor speaking to the student's leadership ability. Preference will be given in the following order of priority: renewal candidates; medical students who received a scholarship from the 'Imi Ho'ola Scholarship Fund at the Hawai'i Community Foundation, with a preference for first-year medical students; and female students.
