Description

The Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship is a highly selective scholarship for the nation's top community college students seeking to complete their bachelor's degrees at four-year colleges or universities. Each Cooke Scholar has access to generous financial support for two to three years, college planning support, ongoing advising, and the opportunity to connect with the thriving community of fellow Scholars. Applicants must be a current student at an accredited U.S. community college or two-year institution with sophomore status as of January 1, 2025, or a recent graduate (since spring 2020) and plan to enroll in a baccalaureate program at an accredited college or university in the fall of 2025. The student must have no previous enrollment or attendance at a four-year institution. Students who have attended a four-year institution in the past are not eligible for this scholarship. Two recommendations are required for this application. These must be completed by academic professionals (an adviser, instructor, or professor) well acquainted with the applicant's work and character. This person must be an academic professional at the applicant's current or most recent institution. The Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship is intended to provide up to three years of funding for recipients. Graduate studies are not included. Exceptions to this would only be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please visit the scholarship's website for more information.
