Jane Kent Hedges, with an application deadline in March, offers numerous awards of $2350 each.

Description

The Jane Kent Hedges Scholarship is awarded with primary preference to freshman through senior collegian members of the Beta Sigma Chapter at Southern Methodist University pursuing undergraduate study during the academic year for which the scholarship is granted. If no applicants meet this criterion, the award may be extended to senior collegians or alumnae of Beta Sigma entering graduate study. If still unawarded, the scholarship may be granted to undergraduate students from the Gamma Phi Chapter at Texas Tech University, followed by graduate students from Gamma Phi. Should no eligible applicants from either chapter be identified, the scholarship may be awarded to any collegian or alumna member of Kappa Alpha Theta pursuing undergraduate or graduate study. In the event Beta Sigma or Gamma Phi is disestablished, the scholarship will continue to follow the stated preference order unless and until the chapter is reestablished. To be eligible for Theta Foundation scholarships, you must be a college or alumna member of Kappa Alpha Theta in good standing with the Fraternity.
