Description

The Jane T. Anderson Scholarship was established by her husband, A. Douglas Anderson, to honor her life. Jane was active in art education throughout her life. She taught at the high school and college levels before becoming the director of education at the Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery in Lincoln. She was active in the local community and belonged to the Nebraska and National Art Associations. Jane passed away in 1996, but her love for the arts lives on through this scholarship. Applicants must be a public high school senior, demonstrating scholastic performance and artistic talent, and intend to continue their education. The scholarship will be awarded to those students majoring in art, art history or museumology. Applicants must submit one reference's e-mail address from their high school art teacher. References will be notified to fill out an online form. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Lincoln Community Foundation for more information.
