Description

The Jared Sekich Scholarship is a one-time $2,000 award created in loving memory of Jared Nicholas Sekich, a Roosevelt High School student who was active in Future Farmers of America (FFA), served as an FFA sentinel, and played on the basketball team. Funded by the Sekich family, friends, and community members, the scholarship supports students from Roosevelt High School or Mead High School who plan to pursue a career in agriculture. Eligible applicants must be enrolling in a vocational/trade school, two-year college, or four-year college/university starting in the upcoming academic year. Funds may be used for tuition, fees, required books and supplies, room and board, and other direct educational expenses, with disbursement split between semesters. Applications must include a high school transcript with fall grades, resume, short answer responses, essay, and recommendation letters.
