Description

The Jean Erdman Scholarship was established in 2001 by Jean Erdman to support students studying Dance at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Jean was a dancer and choreographer, and who some described as a pioneer of modern dance in the 1940's and 1950's. The HCF will give preference for recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is in good academic standing. The donor requires applicants to demonstrate potential talent in Dance as a performer or choreographer and have commitment to the program as evidenced by service to the Dance program or Dance community. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Hawai'i Community Foundation for more information.
