Description

The Judith Mitchell Drabkin 'On My Own' Scholarship was established by Brian Drabkin in memory of his wife Judith in recognition of her success in college due to the scholarship support she received without the benefit of having parents to support her or giving her a place to live. The scholarship is available for graduating high school seniors or current undergraduates in Dutchess and Ulster County who have had to overcome obstacles in order to pursue higher education and can demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to students who are lacking a support system. Two current letters of recommendation from teachers or guidance counselors, clergy or persons other than family members who are familiar with the applicant's skills and abilities are required.
