Description

The Kahala Nui Residents Scholarship was established in 2006 by the Kahala Nui Residents Association to benefit employees or dependents of employees of Kahala Senior Living Community, Inc. The donor requires the applicants to be a current employee or employee dependent of Kahala Senior Living Community, Inc. with at least six months of active employment prior to the application deadline. Applicants must attend an accredited two- or four-year, not-for-profit institution within the U.S. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 is required for associate degree seeking students; and 2.7 for bachelor or graduate degree seeking students. Preference is for recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is in good academic standing. Applicants intending to study in fields of interest that support senior care, including nursing, medicine, geriatrics, social work, nutrition, culinary arts and hospitality will also be given preference. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Hawai'i Community Foundation for more information.
