KAPE Star Student-Teacher Mentor Scholarship, with an application deadline in March, offers 2 awards of $750 each.

Description

The KAPE Star Student-Teacher Mentor Scholarship, worth $500, will be awarded to graduating seniors who are sponsored by a KAPE member. Each applicant should have plans to further his or her education in a program, including vocational or technical schools, leading to a two- or four-year certification or degree program. Furthermore, $250 will be awarded to the nominating KAPE mentor of the selected student(s) for educational purposes. It is optional but students may include their ACT scores in their application, which must be a minimum ACT score of 23. Applicants must submit a copy of their current high school transcript with their guidance counselor's signature. Two letters of recommendations, one from the sponsoring KAPE member and one from a high school teacher or administrator, must also be submitted.
