Kiwanis Club of Coos Bay Scholarship, with an application deadline in March, offers numerous awards that vary in amount. Location restrictions exist. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

The Kiwanis Club of Coos Bay Scholarship is available to graduates of Coos County high schools, including GED recipients and home-schooled students, who have demonstrated academic excellence and a commitment to service. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.50 in high school or 3.0 in college, enroll full time, and have participated in Key Club or a similar service organization. FAFSA filing is required, although financial need may or may not be considered. The scholarship is awarded through an annual competitive process and may be received for up to four years. Applicants must also submit a one-page essay describing their experience with civic organizations and how it has prepared them for college. February 15 is the early bird deadline and March 1 is the final deadline for all applications and materials to be submitted to OSAC.
