Description

The Krishnan-Shah Family Scholarship will be awarded to students who are determined to succeed in their chosen field of study, demonstrate academic promise and are active in their community. The Krishnan-Shah Family Scholarship was established by Ajay Shah, Lata Krishnan and their family. This scholarship program seeks to support financially needy students with academic potential and demonstrated community involvement, and provide meaningful and ongoing financial support to ensure that students complete their undergraduate degree. Applicants must be graduating high school seniors residing in the greater Silicon Valley Region (includes Santa Clara County, San Mateo County, San Francisco County, Alameda County and Santa Cruz County); or current community college students who graduated from a high school within the five listed counties. They must be pursuing their first undergraduate degree. Applicants must be planning to enroll in a four-year college or university in the upcoming fall session. They must have demonstrated involvement in activities (extracurricular, volunteer, paid, etc.). The scholarship may be awarded for over four years. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Silicon Valley Community Foundation for more information.
