Laila Uthman Scholarship, with an application deadline in March, offers numerous awards of $1000 each.

Description

The Laila Uthman Scholarship was established by Laila Uthman's family in partnership with Oceana High School in 1986. The scholarship supports graduating seniors at Oceana High School who have overcome academic and personal difficulties or who have shown concern for those less fortunate. Applicants must have overcome academic or personal difficulties or have shown unusual concern for those less fortunate. They must also show potential, willingness and promise for future success in college. Please contact Maritza Torres to be considered.
