Description

The Martha Meade Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Martha Meade, an educator and school administrator, who spent her career in service to the students of Westmoor High School and the Jefferson Union High School District in Daly City, California. This scholarship program seeks to provide support to students who demonstrate a genuine love of learning in their chosen field of study and a demonstrated desire to serve the community at large. Applicants must be a current graduating senior of Westmoor High School in Daly City, California, planning to enroll in a two- or four-year college or university or in a vocational program leading to an industry-recognized certification or state licensure. Applicants may submit up to two letters of reference. One letter may be from a teacher or academic advisor. It is optional but one letter from a work or volunteer supervisor, or a youth leader may also be submitted. Letters must be on official school or company letterhead. All letters must be signed and dated. All applications must be submitted to Kaiya Nobida in the Guidance Office at Westmoor High School College and Career Center.
