Mary V. Munger Memorial Scholarship, with an application deadline in January, offers one award in the amount of $6750.

Description

Mary V. Munger had been an avid investor and left a significant bequest to SWE to fund the Mary V. Munger Memorial Scholarship, which should be awarded to a junior or senior women engineering student or a re-entry scholar. Re-entry students don't have to be enrolled full-time. Junior and senior applicants must have a 3.0 GPA. A minimum GPA requirement is not applicable to re-entry students. SWE considers academic achievements, participation in extracurricular or volunteer activities, and interest in engineering. Those who identify as a woman and pursue an ABET-accredited program may apply for this scholarship. A personal reference and STEM reference are required. The personal reference must be a person who has known the applicant for two or more years and who is not a relative or member of the applicant's family. For the STEM reference, it is highly recommended that the reference be someone in a STEM field who is familiar with the applicant's academic work.
