Need criteria is not restricted at this time for the Mary York Scholarship Fund. To qualify for an FNF scholarship, applicants must be enrolled in a nationally accredited nursing program, either through ACEN, CNEA or CCNE accreditation. They must be enrolled in an LPN program or for RNs an associate, baccalaureate, master's degree nursing program, or doctoral program. Doctoral programs are not restricted to nursing specialties, e.g. PhD, EdD, etc. Applicants must have completed at least one semester in the current nursing program by the scholarship deadline. They must have also resided in Florida for at least one year. Undergraduate applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and graduate applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. All applicants must demonstrate potential for contribution to the nursing profession and society. Applicants must submit one letter of reference from an individual who can address the applicant's academic aptitude, scholarship, seriousness of purpose, and/or their clinical expertise. Applicants must also submit a validation of their Florida residency, which may be a copy of their current driver's license or voter registration card.
