Description

Founded in 1937, the Native Daughters of Washington Territorial Pioneers set out to collect historical stories from pioneering women to share with their communities. For the last, almost century, this women's group has been interviewing, researching and collaborating to preserve the rich history of our local pioneers dating back to 1890. Today the group mostly shares their stories with nursing homes and the Wenatchee Valley Museum, lending their knowledge especially during the museum's cultural festival. The Native Daughters of Washington Territorial Pioneers Scholarship was set up with the idea of looking ahead at what lies ahead for the community and providing financial aid to those students who have been accepted into Wenatchee Valley College's RN, BSN or CNA program. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Community Foundation of North Central Washington for more information.
