NC CPA Foundation Undergraduate Program Scholarship, with an application deadline in October, offers numerous awards of $2000 each. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

The NC CPA Foundation Undergraduate Program Scholarship will be awarded to four-year college or university students, on-campus or online, who are enrolled in a program that will allow them: (1) to achieve the accounting concentration required to sit for the CPA Exam; or (2) to earn the undergraduate hours needed to enroll in a graduate program in order to achieve the concentration. All applicants must be NCACPA members to apply for a scholarship. Applicants must be either enrolled in a North Carolina college or university and attending on campus, or enrolled in an online program provided by a North Carolina college or university and residing in North Carolina. Prior award winners are eligible to apply for scholarships. The foundation encourages applications from students who are future CPAs and who have strong interpersonal skills, are technologically adept, highly disciplined, and equally productive whether working alone or in collaboration. Applicants are asked to provide information demonstrating that they possess these traits or have the potential to develop them. Additional factors such as financial need and diversity will be considered as well. Written or voice-recorded responses to a small number of open-ended essay questions are required. One reference from someone who knows the applicant well and is not a relative or peer muse also be submitted. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the NC CPA Foundation Inc. for more information.
