Description

Videos are a terrific way to display information about elder abuse and neglect as they are interesting, easy to watch and easily shareable. At the Peck Law Group we are constantly moving towards the goal of eliminating elder neglect and abuse in California and throughout the United States. Submitted elder abuse videos and articles from students may inform thousands of Americans of the signs and symptoms of abuse and can possibly land them a scholarship if their video is chosen. Applicants may be anyone who is attending, or has been accepted to a college or trade school. They must be students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in the United States. Students must create a video detailing their experience with elder abuse and/or neglect, along with an article. It can be the applicant's own experience, or something that has happened to a loved one. Students may also participate in the social media challenge so they can receive an additional $400 with their scholarship. They must simply write a post on social media with a story about nursing home abuse, including the hashtag #nursinghomeabuse and a link to the Peck Law Group. Applicants must include their full name, address, and phone number; name of the college or trade school they are planning to attend or currently attending in their email submission. If under 18, applicants provide their legal guardian's contact information. Please visit the scholarship's website for more information.
