Description

The Peter Connacher Memorial Scholarship will give preference to applicants who are Oregon residents and their dependents. This scholarship is for American ex-prisoners of war and their families and descendants, including step-children and grandchildren. The term "prisoners of war" includes those who were held prisoner in conflicts with other countries even if war was not formally declared by the United States. Financial need is not a requirement but it will be considered; FAFSA filing is recommended. OSAC will automatically receive the applicant's FAFSA record if they are an Oregon resident or a non-Oregon resident with at least one Oregon institution selected on the FAFSA. If the applicant does not fall into either category, they may upload Page 1 and 2 of their FAFSA Submission Summary to be considered for this scholarship. February 15 is the Early Bird deadline and March 1 is the final deadline for all materials to be submitted to OSAC.
