Phoenix Two-Spirit Native & First Nations Scholarship, with an application deadline in January, offers numerous awards that vary in amount. Ethnicity requirements apply. Location restrictions exist.

Description

The Phoenix Two-Spirit Native & First Nations Scholarship may be awarded to Two-Spirit and LGBTQ+ Native, First Nations, and/or Alaska Native students who have a history of activism and/or leadership in the Native community or are planning to get more deeply involved in Native communities in the future. Applicants must be pursuing post-secondary education in the coming 2025-2026 school year. This includes community college; four-year public or private college or university; certificate programs; vocational, technical, and trade programs; law school; medical, dental, and veterinary school; or graduate education. Three essays are required, the Personal Statement and the Community Involvement essay may be submitted in written form or a video essay. Optional materials that can be included with the application are academic transcripts; a resume with work experience, school activities and honors, and extracurricular and community activities, including volunteer roles, arts, and/or activism; a letter of recommendation; and 1-2 writing or art samples. Transcripts are only required for applicants from Washington. Applicants from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, or Oregon are not required to submit transcripts.
