Robert W. Young Award for Undergraduate Student Research in Acoustics, with an application deadline in September, offers 5 awards of $700 each.

Description

The Robert W. Young Award for Undergraduate Student Research in Acoustics was established from a gift to the Acoustical Society Foundation by the family of the late Robert W. Young, a Fellow and past president of ASA. The award is for undergraduate student research. Applicants must be enrolled in and in good standing at a university in the United States. Awards will be given for separate and independent projects in 2026. Funds can only be used as outlined in the proposal. Proposals for funding to attend meetings will not be considered. A report on the results of the project, copy of senior thesis, or other material must be reviewed by the faculty advisor and submitted to the chair of the ASA Education Committee within three months of completion. Students are urged to present research results at an ASA meeting. Please visit the award's website for more information.
