Eligibility

Sanor-Graves Scholarship, with an application deadline in March, offers numerous awards that vary in amount. Location restrictions exist. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

The Sanor-Graves Scholarship will be awarded to graduating high school seniors or current undergraduate students who are currently in the foster care system or have been in the foster care system at some point since age 13 or later. They must plan to enroll at an accredited four-year private or public university in the United States in fall. Students must have a demonstrated commitment to serving their community and/or have paid work experience. Preference may be given to individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic. If awarded, students will need to provide documentation of current or former foster youth status after being selected as a scholarship recipient. Acceptable forms of documentation include IEP, letter from ILS worker, CASA, other foster youth serving organization, or medical paperwork.
