Sanor-Graves Scholarship, with an application deadline in March, offers numerous awards that vary in amount. Location restrictions exist. Restricted to those with financial need.

Description

The Sanor-Graves Scholarship will be awarded to students who have resided in San Diego County for at least one year. Applicants must be graduating high school seniors or current undergraduate students who are currently in the foster care system or have been in the foster care system at some point since age 13 or later. They must plan to enroll at an accredited private or public university in the United States in fall. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, high school GPAs are unweighted. They must also have a demonstrated commitment to serving their community and/or have paid work experience. Preference may be given to individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic. If awarded, recipients will need to provide documentation of current or former foster youth status after being selected as a scholarship recipient. Acceptable forms of documentation include IEP, letter from ILS worker, CASA, other foster youth serving organization, or medical paperwork.
